Today, Shakarim University, under the leadership of Rector Duman Rymgalievich Orynbekov, took part in the “All-Kazakhstan Forest Planting Day” event as part of a comprehensive plan for forest reproduction and afforestation, implemented on behalf of the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was held on the territory of the Prigorodny forestry of the Semipalatinsk branch, RSU “GLPR Semey Ormany” under the leadership of General Director Kairat Khusainovich Khasenov. The event was attended by Akim of the city of Semey Nursagatov N.N., Head of the Emergency Situations Department of the region Abay Shapagatov M., representatives of the Natural Resources Department, representatives of the Department of Economic Investigations; students of the educational program 6B08303- “Forest Resources and Game Management”, more than 100 people, and teachers of the department Agriculture and Bioresources, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Agroanagement, Shakarim University; volunteer squad and other organizations. 19,040 Scots pine seedlings were planted on an area of 4 hectares.
