RESEARCHERS OF OUR SCHOOL

2025-09-30 | Science

At the Department of Agriculture, students are involved in scientific work from their very first years of study!
Within the educational program 6B08303 – “Forest Resources and Wildlife Management,” the student research club “Forest Protectors” operates. The club is supervised by the program manager — Dzhamanova G.I. and PhD — Baigazakova Zh.M.

In the club, students learn:
− to conduct laboratory and field research;
− to develop research skills and increase motivation;
− to work with real scientific problems.

One of the relevant topics our students are studying is the changes in soil after forest fires. These processes directly affect soil fertility and the establishment (survival) of forest plantations.

The topic is highly significant, as the consequences of forest fires may lead to decreased soil fertility, reduction of soil layer thickness, disruption of the microbiological community, deterioration of the water regime, erosion, and many other negative changes.

The research is carried out strictly according to the approved work plan and implemented in cooperation with the “Semey Ormany” reserve.

Our students are already contributing to the future of Kazakhstan’s forests!
