Students of the educational program 6B08303 – “Forest Resources and Hunting Management” of the Veterinary and Agricultural Research School of Shakarim University participated in the intellectual hackathon “INNOVATION. SUSTAINABILITY. FUTURE,” organized by the “Auył” Party in cooperation with Acapedia Kazakhstan Limited among students of higher and specialized secondary educational institutions.

The main goal of the competition is to develop students’ intellectual potential, create project prototypes in the areas of sustainable development, information technologies, and education, support talented youth and startups contributing to ecological transformation, and increase awareness of green technologies within educational processes.

The foresters’ startup titled “Forest Tea – a Natural Source of Antioxidants” stood out for its relevance and received high praise from the representatives of the “Auył” Party. Members of the commission invited the participants to further join tasting events of various types of tea.

The team included 4th-, 3rd-, and 2nd-year students: Zhailaubekova A., Mukinova E., Kassymova A., Amangeldinova E.K., Kaqantayeva N.T.

Scientific supervisors – lecturers of the “Agriculture” Department, Dzhmanova G.I. and Baigazakova Zh.M.

A total of 11 projects were presented, each distinguished by its innovativeness and practical significance. The event concluded with a discussion of the new information presented in the projects, followed by the respectful awarding of certificates to participants.

In the future, our young researchers plan to take part in interstate events on pressing topics in the forestry sector.
